What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an innovative energy modality used for easing stress and gently releasing the emotional charge associated with troubling memories, distressing life events, and self-limiting thoughts and beliefs. These techniques use a mindfulness approach to be present to these disturbances with feelings of safety and acceptance.
Also known as “tapping,” EFT is a form of psychological acupressure based on the same energy meridian points used in traditional acupuncture. We self-tap on specific points while saying cognitive phrases and tuning into feelings and thoughts associated with the issue we want to address.
How does it work?
EFT focuses on the energetic influences between thoughts, emotions, and physiological responses. When there is a disruption in the body's energy system, through chronic patterns of physical and emotional tension and stress or the experience of trauma, there is dis-ease. The goal of EFT is to clear these disruptions, or emotional blocks, restoring the mind body balance essential for optimal health.
The correlation between a dysregulated nervous system and emotional and physical symptoms is well established. As an effective method for reducing anxiety, stress and the fear response, EFT provides an opportunity to work with an emotionally charged experience while processing it in a way that is not overwhelming to the system.
Studies have found that EFT has significant clinical effectiveness in treating a wide variety of psychological and physical symptoms.

Working Together
EFT is a collaborative, forward-facing approach to creating the life you are being called to live. As your EFT coach, I will support you through the process of identifying your vision and intentions as well as the issues and obstacles that hold you back.
We begin by addressing how these challenges or struggles are showing up in your daily life. Over time, as we work with emotional layers, like peeling an onion, core issues may surface to help with your natural restorative process. It is never forced but guided by your own innate wisdom and internal knowing that is it safe and timely to be present to what is wanting to be known. At the same time, you will learn this powerful tool for self-regulation and managing life’s daily stressors.
